How do I create a quote?
Complete your Company Profile, then tap New Quote from Home or the Quotes section. Choose Use Saved to select an existing customer, or enter a new customer’s details directly. New customer details are saved to Customers for future use.
Add the project information, line items, quantities, units, prices, optional discount and tax, payment terms, and notes. Tap Save when finished. You can then open the saved quote to review it, preview its PDF, or share it.
How do I create an invoice?
Open a saved quote and tap To Invoice. Review the invoice number, invoice date, and due date, then tap Create Invoice.
CreekQuote copies the quote into an independent invoice. Later changes to the quote will not update the invoice, and changes to the invoice will not update the quote. Each quote can be converted only once.
How do I preview, download, or share a PDF?
Open a saved quote or invoice and tap PDF to preview it.
From the preview, tap Download PDF or Share to open the iPhone share sheet. Depending on the apps and services installed on your device, you can save the PDF to Files, print it, AirDrop it, or send it through Mail, Messages, or another app.
For a quote, you can also tap Share and choose Share PDF. PDF creation and sharing work without an internet connection.
How does online quote sharing work?
Open a saved quote, tap Share, and choose Share Online Link. CreekQuote uploads a customer-facing snapshot of that quote and its PDF, then creates a private, hard-to-guess link that you can send to your customer.
Customers do not need a CreekQuote account. Anyone with the valid link may be able to view and download the quote and submit a response, so send it only to the intended recipient.
If you edit a quote after sharing it, the published version is not updated automatically. Open the quote and choose Update Online Link when you are ready to publish the revised version. The existing public URL remains the same.
How do I disable a shared link?
Open the quote and find the Online link active section, then tap Disable. Public access stops after the request succeeds.
If you delete a quote with an active online link, CreekQuote first attempts to disable the link. If that request fails, the local quote is not deleted, helping prevent an online copy from remaining active without your knowledge.
Disabling a link blocks public access but may not immediately erase every associated server record.
What do customer response statuses mean?
A customer can submit one of the following responses from the shared quote page:
- Accepted — the customer accepted the quote.
- Request Revise — the customer requested changes and must include a revision note.
- Declined — the customer declined the quote.
You can use Refresh in the online-sharing section to retrieve the latest activity and response.
An expired quote remains available to view and download, but it can no longer be accepted. These statuses are activity indicators only. They do not verify the recipient’s identity and do not replace any signature, contract, or other legal requirement that may apply to your transaction.
Where is my data stored?
Your Company Profile, Customers, Quotes, and Invoices are stored locally on your iPhone. CreekQuote does not automatically upload your local business database.
When you choose Share Online Link, CreekQuote sends the selected quote snapshot and PDF to its online service. The service may also record limited activity related to that shared quote, including whether it was viewed or downloaded and any customer response.
When you share a PDF through the iPhone share sheet, the selected PDF is transferred to whichever app or service you choose.
How should I protect important records?
CreekQuote V1.1 does not include built-in database backup, export, restore, or cross-device synchronization.
Use Download PDF to save important quote and invoice PDFs to Files, a cloud drive, or your normal business record system. PDF copies preserve the documents themselves, but they cannot restore the editable records inside CreekQuote.
Deleting the app, losing the iPhone, or losing access to this installation may permanently remove local CreekQuote data and may also affect your ability to manage existing online links. Do not use CreekQuote as the only copy of records you are legally or operationally required to keep.
